(Cortaderia selloana) Perennial. One of the tallest ornamental grasses with tall stalks averaging up to 10' feet tall topped with large dreamy, silky plumes in white and pink. Ideal for an attractive privacy screen. Plumes form late summer and last well into winter. These soft plumes are highly sought after for use as decoration and floral arrangements.
To Grow:
Start indoors late winter or early spring. Gently press seed into surface of the soil but do not cover as light is needed for germination. Cover pots with plastic bags or domes to help retain consistent moisture. After germination, remove bags and place pots under bright light. Transplant to desired location once large enough to handle anytime during the growing season.
