(Hypoestes Sanguinolenta) Also known as Polka Dot Plant and Flamingo Plant. Pink Polka Dot Hypoestes is often grown for its highly attractive foliage that can be enjoyed year-round as a houseplant or grown as an annual shade garden plant (zones 3-8). Its dark green leaves are heavily splashed with pastel pink and make an exciting filler in containers or colorful bedding plant. Easy to grow from seed.
To Grow:
Direct sow 1 -2 weeks after average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 60°F. Start indoors 4 -6 weeks before average last frost date. Press seeds into the soil but do not cover them with soil because they need light to germinate.
