(Dianthus plumarius) Perennial. Produces fragrant, edible flowers in shades of white, pink, purple, and bicolored notched petals atop grass-like blue-green foliage. Makes a great border and cut flower. It’s sweet and spicy scent attracts pollinators while still being deer resistant.
TO GROW:
Sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before your last average frost date. Press them into the soil but do not cover them with soil because they need light to germinate. Transplant seedlings outdoors after your average last frost date. Direct seed 1-2 weeks after last frost.
