(Centaurea Cyanus) Also known as cornflower, these nearly black blooms add depth and richness to the garden from spring to summer. Edible petals are used to spruce of desserts. Flowers make a long-lasting cut flower. One of the easiest flowers to sow from seed. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Height 28-36". Annual.

Planting Instructions:
Sow outdoors 1-2 weeks after average last frost. Broadcast mixture evenly over area. Lightly rake seed and gently tamp into soil. Seed should be no deeper than 1/8".
Additional Tips:
Prefers average, well-drained soil. Keep area moist to aid germination.
Plant in late spring, after last frost, early summer or fall. Fall seeding can be very successful, especially in dry soils. Fall plantings will germinate the following spring.
