(Chrysanthemum maximum) Perennial. An old-fashioned favorite that is perfect for cut flowers and cottage gardens. Snowy white petals and a yellow center on 3-5″ blooms attract beneficial insects to the garden. 2nd year maturity. Easy to grow from seed. Deer resistant.
To Grow:
Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before your last average frost date. Press them into the soil but do not cover them with soil because they need light to germinate. Transplant seedlings outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked. Direct seed after last frost.
